This study addresses the gap in service innovation literature concerning the testing phase, particularly for older adults. A comprehensive framework for the testing stage of older-adult service innovation is proposed and validated through a four-year empirical research project in Beijing. The findings highlight the crucial role of interaction and the testing phase in aligning service innovations with the needs and preferences of older adults, emphasizing its importance for effective service delivery and sustainability.
