Abstract
This study investigates the impact of digital capabilities on business model innovation (BMI), highlighting the mediating role of dynamic capabilities (sensing, seizing, reconfiguring resources) and the moderating effect of organizational inertia. A time-lagged questionnaire study (N=262 entrepreneurs in China's Pearl River-West River Economic Belt) reveals that digital capabilities positively impact BMI, mediated by dynamic capabilities. Organizational inertia positively moderates this relationship. The study contributes to understanding how digital capabilities enhance BMI and offers insights for enterprises seeking to thrive in dynamic markets.
