This study explores the characteristics and structural framework of entrepreneurial talents among Chinese university students, focusing on their opportunity recognition abilities. Through interviews with 21 exceptional student entrepreneurs, a grounded theory approach revealed that these students possess both implicit (entrepreneurial drive and environmental intelligence) and explicit (learning, networking, and integration skills) capacities to detect business possibilities. The resulting model serves as a benchmark for assessing and enhancing the opportunity recognition abilities of aspiring entrepreneurs.
