This longitudinal study (2017-2018) investigated the cultural and engagement differences among international, Chinese, and Thai students at a private Thai university using the NSSE survey and qualitative interviews. The results revealed varying attitudes towards studying, teachers, memorization, participation, critical thinking, and empathy across the three groups. The paper discusses how students socially arrange themselves and the implications of this for the university.
