This study investigates the role of sociocultural adaptation and job satisfaction in the relationship between cultural competence and intention to stay among Vietnamese migrant workers in Taiwan's manufacturing industry. Using a moderated mediation model and a survey of 636 respondents, the findings reveal that sociocultural adaptation and job satisfaction fully mediate the relationship between cultural competence and intention to stay. Local language proficiency and length of residence strengthen the positive relationship between cultural competence and sociocultural adaptation. The study offers implications for policymakers and employers to improve retention strategies for migrant workers.
