Abstract
This study explores the motivations behind Taiwanese families choosing cruise travel, examining passenger needs across three stages of the cruise experience: anticipation, participation, and recall. Using qualitative research and in-depth surveys, the study finds that motivations include new experiences, a desire for cruise travel, convenience, and generating social topics. 'Port of call' and 'destination' are most significant in the anticipation and recall stages, along with dining options. In the participation stage, cabins, entertainment, and children's amenities are crucial. These findings offer valuable guidance for planning family cruise travel.
