Abstract
This paper examines changes in political trust in the UK during 2020, analyzing data from 18 survey organizations. Political trust, initially low after the 2019 General Election, rose with the March 2020 lockdown but declined gradually afterward, reaching pre-COVID levels by October 2020. The inability to sustain this initial increase in trust highlights challenges in managing public confidence during crises.
