Abstract
This study investigates the influence of fitness center mobile applications on user recommendations. Using linear models and qualitative comparative analysis (QCA), the study analyzes the Mobile App Rating Scale (MARS) dimensions (engagement, functionality, aesthetics, information) and user demographics (age, gender) on app recommendations. Results indicate that aesthetics and information significantly influence recommendations, while age and gender impact recommendation pathways differently. The study highlights the importance of two-way communication and app quality for positive recommendations and emphasizes the complementary use of linear and QCA methods for a comprehensive understanding of user perceptions.
