This research assesses the psychometric properties of a measuring tool for teaching skills in physical education teacher training and investigates its alignment with theoretical models. Using data from 1104 undergraduate students, a factor analysis reveals a good fit to a three-correlated factor model, highlighting personal/interpersonal, teaching-learning process management, and instrumental skills. The findings show some discrepancies with existing theoretical models, prompting discussion of implications for teaching practice and skill development.
