Abstract
Chronic kidney diseases (CKDs) affect millions globally, with a significant portion linked to genetic causes. This Perspective reviews the clinical landscape of genetic kidney diseases, kidney physiology, and nanoparticle design for kidney targeting. It highlights emerging technological strategies, including nanomedicine and cell therapies, and discusses knowledge gaps and the need for collaborative efforts to develop effective drug delivery solutions.
