Abstract
This research investigates whether the gender of crowdfunded micro-borrowers is related to microloan features (amount, term, number of lenders, contact time, repayment system). Using multinomial logit regression on a Kiva database sample from 56 countries, results indicate women are better borrowers regarding amount, repayment method, and recruitment period. These findings can improve financial inclusion and align with Sustainable Development Goals. Future research should explore how environmentally conscious microfinance, favored by women, can attract ESG-compliant crowdfunding.
