This research analyzes student satisfaction and academic effort in online education during the COVID-19 pandemic in Croatia. A quantitative study of 359 students from two universities revealed that instructor quality positively impacts student satisfaction, which in turn positively affects academic effort. However, fear of COVID-19 and anxiety, while correlated, did not significantly influence academic effort or satisfaction.
