Abstract

This systematic review examines patient and public knowledge, perspectives, and information needs regarding cell and gene therapies. The review synthesized findings from 35 publications, identifying four key themes: knowledge and understanding, acceptance, understanding of risks and benefits, and information needs. The authors highlight the need for improved patient and public education and high-quality research exploring public opinions and experiences to facilitate the uptake and use of these therapies.
