Abstract
This paper analyzes how primary and secondary teachers can improve their Climate Change Competence (C3) using a Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) on the basic science of climate change. A pre-experimental design with pre- and post-test measurements was used with 530 participants. Results show improvements in knowledge, abilities, and attitudes towards climate change, highlighting a correlation between these three dimensions of competence. The MOOC's impact varied across different demographic groups.
