Abstract
This study identified Gly-3Hyp-4Hyp tripeptide in human blood at high concentrations after ingesting porcine skin collagen hydrolysate. Its high resistance to peptidase/protease, demonstrated by incubation with mouse plasma, allowed it to maintain maximum concentration for 4 hours post-ingestion. In mice, bovine tendon collagen hydrolysate (higher 3Hyp content) further increased blood Gly-3Hyp-4Hyp levels. Gly-3Hyp-4Hyp also showed chemotactic activity on skin fibroblasts and promoted osteoblast differentiation, highlighting its potential for health benefits.
