This qualitative study explores the psychospiritual experiences of ethnically diverse healthcare staff in the UK during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using focus groups, the researchers identified six themes: spirituality as connecting to something beyond oneself; spirituality's influence on the role within the NHS; recognition of spirituality in the NHS; the connections between spirituality and ethnicity; spirituality and leadership; and spirituality during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study highlights the importance of spirituality for many staff, its impact on their work, and the need for greater recognition and support for diverse spiritual needs within the NHS.
