Abstract
This study investigates the causal factors influencing the mental well-being of healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic, using Karasek's Job Demand Control Social Model (JDCS). Analyzing data from Eurofound’s Living, Working, and COVID-19 survey (4626 health sector employees), structural equation models revealed significant associations between mental well-being and physical/mental work demands, PPE availability, supervisor support, peer support, and age. These findings offer valuable insights for improving healthcare institution management and developing strategies to enhance healthcare professional mental health.
