This study investigates the global hake trade network (HGTN), focusing on key countries like Spain, Namibia, Argentina, South Africa, the USA, and Italy. The analysis reveals a complex network with Spain as the primary importer and Namibia and South Africa as major exporters. Growth in trade volume and value is observed, but the network's vulnerability to various shocks highlights the need for resilient trading practices to ensure sustainable hake management and contribute to global food security.
