Abstract
This study investigates the enduring impact of the Hukum Kanun Pahang (Pahang Laws), established during the reign of Sultan Abdul Ghafur Muhayiddin Syah (1592-1614), on Malaysian society. It analyzes the Pahang Laws' influence on the Institution of the Malay Sultanate and its contribution to justice within the Malaysian social system. The study highlights the system's significance in the Malay Sultanate and its potential to inform legal frameworks in other countries with similar demographics and cultures, particularly in Southeast Asia.
