This narrative review examines the impact of earthquakes on public health, focusing on infectious diseases in the post-disaster period. It reviews worldwide earthquake-triggered infectious diseases, their symptoms, causative pathogens, risk factors, vulnerable populations, and prevention strategies. Respiratory, gastrointestinal, vector-borne, wound, and skin infections are prevalent. The study emphasizes establishing a robust disease surveillance system for early identification and response to outbreaks.
