This paper analyzes the discourse of the Alianța pentru Uniunea Românilor (AUR) party in Romania, comparing it to the inflammatory rhetoric of the interwar Legion of the Archangel Michael. Using the Discourse-Historical Approach (DHA), the authors examine speeches of AUR leaders, finding similarities in ultranationalism, Orthodox mysticism, and targeting of minorities. While AUR's antisemitism is less pronounced than the Legion's, it exhibits xenophobia, homophobia, and misogyny, suggesting a continuation of the hateful discourse.
