This study protocol outlines a quasi-experimental design to evaluate the Kidogo model's effectiveness in empowering women through quality childcare. The study, currently underway in Nakuru County, Kenya, uses a mixed-methods approach with intervention and comparison groups (n=170 each) followed for a year. Data analysis will employ a difference-in-differences estimator to assess the impact on women's incomes and work productivity. The study aims to determine the model's feasibility, acceptability, and contribution to women's economic empowerment.
