This study evaluated the impact of the MiniMed 780G™ automated insulin delivery (AID) system on energy and nutrient intake among children, adolescents, and young adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Twenty-nine participants underwent a 6-month follow-up, with 3-day food diaries analyzed at baseline and months 3 and 6 post-AID initiation. No significant changes in macronutrient intake were observed. However, low fiber and high saturated fat intake persisted throughout the study, regardless of AID use. The study highlights the need for continued nutritional education for T1D patients, irrespective of advanced technology usage.
