Abstract
This paper examines how media narratives in India's *Times of India* (TOI) shape national identity and ontological security in relation to the Indo-Pacific Strategy. Analyzing 47 TOI reports (June 2019-May 2021), the study reveals how the TOI frames India's participation, emphasizing its unique role as a potential world leader while addressing anxieties about China's assertiveness and the legacy of non-alignment.
