This article examines the populist communication strategies employed by André Ventura, leader of the Portuguese radical right party Chega, on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) during the 2022 Portuguese Legislative Elections. A content analysis of 143 tweets from January 2022 reveals discursive tactics aligning with radical right populism, including an "us versus them" narrative, criticism of democratic system dysfunctions, emphasis on integrity amidst corruption, nativist discourse, and predominantly negative communication.
