Abstract
The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the urgent need for highly sensitive and selective analytical bioplatforms for decentralized and rapid SARS-CoV-2 detection. This review focuses on biosensors for SARS-CoV-2 RNA detection, emphasizing biorecognition layers and transduction schemes of hybridization events.
