This study investigates the fidelity of Imam Mohammed Ewes' self-translation of his Friday sermons from Arabic to English. Using Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) and Ajunwa's (2015) approach, the study analyzed eight randomly selected sermons from Ewes' book *Pulpit Sermons*. The findings reveal that fidelity was not achieved, indicating the self-translation was more of a rewriting process than a true translation due to inaccuracies and significant alterations.
