Abstract
This study investigates the synergistic antibacterial activity of a combination of two bacteriocins, garvicin KS and micrococcin P1, against *Staphylococcus aureus* biofilms, including MRSA strains. The bacteriocin combination demonstrated the ability to restore the sensitivity of MRSA strain ATCC 33591 to penicillin G. Metabolic assays, confocal and scanning electron microscopy revealed that the combination potently inhibits cell viability by causing severe cell damage within the biofilms. The findings suggest bacteriocins as valuable therapeutic tools against biofilm-associated MRSA infections.
