About Macquarie University Road to Research Scholarship 📖
The Macquarie Master of Research (MRes) provides thorough research-relevant training for candidates interested in shorter research projects or pursuing a research career. The Road to Research Scholarship is designed for onshore applicants who are eligible to commence the Macquarie Master of Research (MRes) in Sydney, Australia in Session 2, 2026.
Benefits of the Scholarship 💰
The scholarship includes:
- Tuition fee offset for a maximum of one year.
- Living allowance stipend of $39,700 for one year.
Eligibility Criteria ✅
Awards will only be available to applicants who, at the time of application:
- Are onshore in Australia.
- Intend to reside in Sydney, Australia during their candidature.
- Plan to undertake a Master of Research in July 2026 (Session 2, 2026).
- Are enrolling as full-time students.
- Meet the English language requirements for Macquarie graduate research degrees.
- Meet the admission criteria for the Master of Research (refer to schedule 2.3).
- Have confirmation of supervision from an eligible Macquarie University researcher (compulsory for FMHHS and desirable for other faculties).
- International applicants must have a valid Student Visa to commence their program. Alternatively, they may study on an Australian visa type that permits full-time study until the end of 2027.
