π About the Program
The Fulbright Program Graduate Study Grant enables Bulgarian students to pursue Masterβs or other graduate-level degrees at accredited universities in the United States. The program combines financial support, academic guidance, and international exposure to develop future global leaders.

β Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Fulbright Bulgaria Graduate Study Grant Program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Bulgarian citizenship is required. Green card holders and individuals with dual (Bulgarian and US) citizenship are ineligible.
- Applicants must hold at least a Bachelorβs degree and be able to submit the official diploma by September 1, 2026.
- Evidence of English language proficiency (TOEFL, GRE/GMAT scores) is an advantage but not compulsory. Nominated candidates will receive free test vouchers if they do not have valid results at the time of application.
- Applicants should be in sound health.
- Candidates already studying in the United States are ineligible for a Fulbright grant.
- Candidates who have resided in the United States for five or more consecutive years during the six-year period preceding the date of application are ineligible for a Fulbright grant.
