Opportunity Overview
The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is accepting applications for its Ghana Youth Leaders (YoLe) Fellowship Programme 2026. This one-year fellowship is designed to empower young, innovative change-makers who are recent graduates from tertiary institutions and are positively impacting communities in Ghana.

โ Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the programme, applicants must:
- Be aged between 18 - 30 years and resident in Ghana
- Hold qualifications from accredited tertiary institutions
- Be able to fully commit to the one-year programme, on-site at:
- UNFPA Ghana Country Office
- University of Ghana Digital Youth Village and Centre for Digital Youth Development, Legon, Accra
- Be proactive and possess strong interpersonal skills
- Be proficient in English (working knowledge required)
- Be passionate about:
- Leadership
- Sustainable Development
- Peace and Security
- Human Rights
- Demonstrate a drive for change in sectors such as:
- Social entrepreneurship
- Agribusiness
- Innovation
- Artificial intelligence
- Community development
- Volunteerism
- Show interest and dedication to development issues and contribute towards Ghana's 2030 Agenda
- Demonstrate affiliation with:
- Youth-led organizations/networks
- NGOs/CSOs
- Community volunteerism
- Youth development projects by government agencies related to UN and UNFPAโs mandate

Applicants must submit the following:
- Motivation Letter (not more than 500 words) explaining:
- Your motivation for applying for the fellowship
- Your professional goals
- What you hope to achieve by participating in the programme
- C.V./Resume
- Proof of Identity (Ghana Card, Valid Passport, or Birth Certificate)
- Evidence of Health Insurance (National Health Insurance is acceptable)
