📖 About Counterpart International Global Women in Management Program
The Global Women in Management Program (GWIM) is designed for early- to mid-career women working in:
- Local NGOs
- Cooperatives
- Businesswomen’s associations
- Micro-credit organizations
- Social enterprises
This program empowers women who advance economic opportunities for other women in their communities.

Participants in the GWIM program will enjoy the following benefits:
- Mentorship: Work with a GWIM alumnae mentor to design and implement your action plan and receive support on work-related issues.
- Networking: Join national, regional, and global alumnae networks, and gain access to private online platforms linking alumnae to resources, training, fellowship programs, and funding opportunities.
- Community: Build long-lasting personal and professional relationships with your cohort and become part of a network of more than 1,000 GWIM alumnae worldwide.
✅ Program Requirements
To be eligible for the GWIM program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Employment/Volunteering: Currently employed by or volunteering with a local civil society organization implementing women’s economic empowerment programs, working in STEAM fields supporting women and young girls, or with a social enterprise benefiting women.
- Experience:
- Minimum five years of experience in development programming.
- Minimum three years of experience in women’s economic empowerment activities (e.g., micro-credit, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, income generation, cooperatives, businesswomen’s groups, etc.).
- Language Proficiency: Highly proficient in English (able to actively participate in discussions and presentations). Oral language skills may be assessed during the application process.
- Availability: Fully committed and available to:
- Travel to Washington, DC, United States of America for the in-person program from October 19-30, 2026 (if selected).
- Participate in an estimated 16-20 hours of online sessions from December 2026-May 2027.
