This paper explores people's visual focus patterns in the Historic Centre of Prague, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, to understand how new construction impacts its visual integrity. Using eye-tracking technology, the study analyzes visual heatmaps from micro to macro perspectives. Findings reveal that while main attractions are generally protected by a buffer zone, new high-rise buildings pose significant visual concerns. The study suggests restrictions on new buildings with large heights and contrasting colors within World Heritage Sites and highlights the importance of considering human factors in urban planning for heritage conservation.
