Abstract
This work introduces a liquid crystal elastomer (LCE) interlayer in flexible perovskite solar cells to improve efficiency and reliability. The aligned LCE enhances charge transfer, minimizes recombination, and boosts efficiency to 23.26% (rigid) and 22.10% (flexible). The LCE suppresses phase segregation, leading to >80% efficiency retention after 1570 h. The flexible device retains 86% efficiency after 5000 bending cycles. The cells are integrated into a wearable haptic device for pain sensation in virtual reality.
