This research investigates the interplay between charge order and superconductivity in the cuprate superconductor La2-xBaxCuO4 using X-ray diffraction and uniaxial stress. The study finds that uniaxial stress reduces charge order peaks and correlation length, leading to optimal 3D superconductivity without completely eliminating charge stripes. This suggests that the arrangement of charge stripes into smaller regions is crucial for enhanced superconductivity.
