Abstract
This article challenges the common view of online journalism as a postmodern phenomenon characterized by subjectivity and relativism. It argues that algorithms and filter bubbles are creating a resurgence of modern metanarratives, where subjective narratives are perceived as absolute truths within their respective information bubbles. This "information platformization" process leads to a new definition of online journalism as a subjective fulfillment of modernism's foundational principles, rather than a postmodern departure.
