This study investigates the effects of branch managers' boundary spanning activities and resource orchestration on the performance of Indonesian state-owned bank branches, considering environmental uncertainty and goal conflict. Using structural equation modeling with data from 186 branch managers, the study finds that boundary spanning activities positively influence resource orchestration, and both impact branch performance. However, the influence varies depending on environmental uncertainty and goal conflict. Interestingly, goal conflict increased boundary spanning activities but didn't affect resource orchestration, potentially linked to Indonesian cultural values prioritizing harmony and obedience.
