Abstract
This study investigates the relationship between job satisfaction and moonlighting intentions among IT employees in Hyderabad, India. It examines the mediating effects of organizational commitment and economic intentions, and the moderating role of human resource practices. Data from 311 respondents were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Job satisfaction significantly influences moonlighting intentions, with organizational commitment partially mediating this relationship. Human resource practices positively moderate the relationship between job satisfaction and moonlighting intentions. The study highlights the importance of organizational commitment and HR practices in managing employee moonlighting.
