Abstract
Head and neck cancer (HNC) presents a variety of ethical difficulties for oncologists involved in screening, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, especially for professionals not trained in medical ethics. Over the last decade, the bioethics department has compiled information on numerous ethical concerns and their effects on healthcare professionals practicing in India. Based on these findings, this narrative review outlines the challenges faced by oncologists when screening, diagnosing, treating, and rehabilitating people with HNC in a traditional nation like India. The authors state this is the first overview to address these issues from an Indian viewpoint, aiming to document an important yet under-addressed component of cancer care and help educate future healthcare professionals to effectively handle these difficulties.
