Abstract

This study investigates how to meet the multifaceted needs of older adults in rural China by adapting and aligning two polycentric systems, focusing on intergenerational relationships. Using fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA), it identifies crucial nesting points that integrate these systems, suggesting an organizational-level polycentric framework involving families, village organizations, government, businesses, and educational institutions to address the challenges of rural aging.
