Abstract
This paper analyzes German print media's portrayal of Greta Thunberg's 2019 sailing trip to the UN Climate Summit. It examines how the narrative of her journey was shaped by spatial determinants, using the Narrative Policy Framework (NPF) to decode how space and place influenced character interactions, plot development, and moral messages. The study finds that media representations varied, highlighting the complex interplay between Thunberg's symbolic action, the limitations of climate-friendly travel, and the potential for both inspiring and undermining climate action through storytelling.
