This paper examines how UK news media portrays different climate action tactics. A dataset of British news coverage over seven months was analyzed, focusing on Extinction Rebellion (XR), Just Stop Oil, and Animal Rising. Conservative publications showed more unfavorable and inaccurate coverage. Legal actions received more favorable and extensive coverage than illegal ones. Actions targeting industry attracted more attention than those targeting other actors, while actions targeting the public were viewed more favorably. The study's implications include informing climate advocacy strategies.
