Climate change is significantly altering species distributions, particularly impacting pests and diseases. This study investigates the potential effects of climate change on 14 Nearctic leafhopper species, known vectors of phytoplasmas, using ecological niche modeling. The findings suggest a persistence of leafhoppers in current habitats, with a potential northward range expansion, particularly in Canada. Network analysis indicates a high degree of environmental niche similarity among species, expected to increase under future climate scenarios. These findings have significant implications for sustainable pest management practices.
