Abstract

This paper reports a novel photothermal catalytic recycling system for converting waste polyolefin plastics into liquid fuels. Using a Ru/TiO₂ catalyst under concentrated sunlight or xenon lamp irradiation, the system achieves complete conversion of polyolefins into valuable liquid fuels (86% gasoline- and diesel-range hydrocarbons) within 3 hours. This method offers a simple and efficient strategy for recycling waste plastics using abundant solar energy.
