This study assessed Ghanaian pre-service geography teachers' pedagogical competence in their minor subjects (political science, economics, social studies, history). Pedagogical competence was measured using three constructs from the TPACK framework: pedagogical knowledge (PK), pedagogical content knowledge (PCK), and technological pedagogical knowledge (TPK). A survey of 182 pre-service teachers revealed higher PK than PCK and TPK. Minor subject classifications significantly affected PK, with economics minors scoring higher. Implications for teacher education curricula are discussed.
