Abstract
This qualitative study explores the impact of benefit finding and optimism on caregivers of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Malaysia. Twenty caregivers were interviewed, revealing that these strategies support caregiving responsibilities, improve personal growth, relationships, and spirituality, and increase positive perceptions. The authors recommend targeted interventions to support caregivers in utilizing these coping mechanisms.
