Abstract
This paper uses the Advocacy Coalition Framework (ACF) to analyze 67 applications of the framework to climate change policy. The authors examine patterns in coalition characteristics, behavior, policy influence, and learning. They find that the ACF is frequently used to study coalitions and their beliefs, highlighting the importance of coalitions in climate change policy. The study suggests future research should focus on non-democratic governance, underrepresented regions, integration of the ACF with other frameworks, and normative aspects of climate change politics.
