Abstract
This study evaluated the associations of drying temperature with storage systems and conditions for preserving maize grain quality on laboratory and field scales. Higher drying temperatures accelerated moisture reduction but increased deterioration. Wetting during storage reduced quality. Hermetic and aerated storage maintained chemical quality, with 80°C drying and silo storage with natural aeration providing satisfactory results.
