Abstract
Pediatric laryngotracheal stenosis is a complex airway injury requiring various treatments. A biodegradable airway stent could offer a less invasive solution. This study demonstrates the in-vivo efficacy of an ultra-high ductility magnesium-alloy stent, showing high corrosion resistance and safe degradation without affecting airway growth in rabbits. The stent was well-tolerated, exhibiting no toxicity.
