Impact of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015 on transparency and shareholder protection in Indian listed companies: An analytical study
R. M and D. A. K. Pandey
LODR has consolidated disclosure obligations and strengthened board accountability on paper, yet real gains in transparency and minority protection are constrained by concentrated ownership, limited board independence, and variable enforcement. The study highlights procedural improvements but stresses the need for stronger enforcement, simplified compliance for smaller firms, and greater institutional stewardship. This research was conducted by Rani M and Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Pandey.
